We had to fix up some marks of a car and our own choice of photo on photoshop for this assignment. We had to get rid of glare, tint the windshield, and adjust the levels of the picture in attempt to match the finished product for the car image. For our own we are supposed to take what we learned from the car and change and retouch things from our own images. I feel it worked out well for both. I choose a picture I took of my little brothers eye and changed a few things. I darkened the levels, tinted the background, cropped the image to focus on the eye its self, and clone stamped the eye color. Here are some before and after pictures for both of the images.

For this weeks photos I went out side and took pictures of plants and trees around my house in attempt to fill the category of macro. I would get really close to the object and try and get all the details in the photos . I feel it went very well, check it out! This photo has an aperture f-stop of 5.6, an ISO of 320, and a shutter speed of 1/125. For this photo I only cropped the side of it to get rid of blur, but other then that I did not edit. I got a few good photos but my main struggle was focussing the camera. Eventually, I learned that if you play with the zoom and make sure the main subject is in focus then the camera will take a good picture. What I feel went well was the proper lighting in each photo. After playing around with the settings I finally learned how to get the right ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed to make the right exposure in the pictures, although theres always room for improvement.
For this assignment we had to divide one edited photo into four sections then colorize each of them accordingly. For the second photo you can have more fun with it and take goofy photos. It was a lot of fun and it helped me learn how to get around photoshop much better. I learned how to change the color of a photo and crop it accordingly to what we are doing.
For week two I am going to try to do macro. I tend to have difficulties making my camera focus and in doing this I can find new ways to help my camera focus and hopefully improve my skills. I am going to find little texturized things all over my house and outside and take up close pictures with a large depth of field background. Here are some examples. I like these photos as inspiration because they are all the subjects that I want to take pictures of and all have good detail and lighting which is another thing I strive to capture in this weeks photos.
For this assignment, students were expected to take a bunch of photos on their topic of choice and choose there top 6 to blog about. But, your favorite one of the 6 you turn in. This is my favorite photo because of the good lighting and different perspective of the photo. This photo has an F-stop of 7.1, an aperture of 1/200, and an ISO of 100. During this project I learned how to properly use exposure. I had trouble getting the lighting right in the morning sun but eventually I found the right amount of exposure mixed with the right amount of ISO and it all worked out. Somethings that went well during this project is the shutter speed. Taking pictures of a dog isn't always easy considering that the dog will not stay still the whole time so I got a lot of pictures that could've been blurry if I didn't have the right shutter set. Overall, this project worked out well and I am proud of my work.
For week one I wanted to keep it simple and easy and do animals. I have two golden retrievers that are perfect to take pictures of. I'm hoping to get different perspectives and viewpoints to improve my photography and make my aperture skills stronger. |
